The in-district deadline for the School Choice lottery was last Friday, so families will be notified soon.  Check your email to learn about your child’s potential enrollment in Family School.  There is still time to apply.

Application periods for School Choice Transfer Lottery:

For 2020–21 fall enrollment, applications will be accepted:

  • 4J resident transfer lottery: January 1–January 31, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Non-resident transfer lottery: March 1–March 31, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

For 2020–21 fall enrollment, lottery results will be emailed to parents:

  • 4J resident in-district transfer lottery: by February 15, 2020
  • Non-resident inter-district transfer lottery: by April 30, 2020

Deadline to respond to placement offer: The parent/guardian must accept offer within 5 business days from email notification or the offer will be rescinded and offered to the next student.

Post-Lottery Placement Transfer requests: After the lottery application periods, transfer requests may be submitted beginning May 1, 2020. Post-lottery transfer requests are granted first-come, first-served. If the requested school is currently full, students will be placed on the waiting list based on priority and date of application. For example, if the requesting student is a returning student, sibling or other priority category, they will be placed on the wait list behind other students with the same priority who applied before them.
